Naku Enei Tamariki–Māori, Naku Enei Tamariki–Pacific, and Parents Centre Aotearoa have been contracted by the DHB to provide a range of education programmes, including Kaupapa Māori education, Pacific specific education and group antenatal education programmes. All services are free to families across the Hutt Valley.
The new programmes provide more options in the Hutt Valley region, and represent an increased focus on providing equitable services that reflect the clinical and cultural needs and preferences of women, parents and whānau.
You can read more about these programmes and access contact details here.

Investment in Kaupapa Māori and Pacific specific services is fundamental to increasing equitable access to antenatal education in our region.
We have grown our overall investment in antenatal education in the region by 50 percent, and we’re pleased to provide more culturally responsive, family focused and strengths-based options for our region.
We acknowledge and thank BirthEd for the antenatal, parenting education and MAKE programmes they have provided to parents, families and whānau across the Hutt Valley over the past seven years.
BirthEd’s service has supported thousands of women and pregnant people through positive, healthy pregnancies and has made a significant contribution to our community.
